After painting a few pieces over the years of some of my favorite places in Calfornia, I decided to assemble and post them as a series --- a tribute to this state's beauty and rich history. Please NOTE: This series is not yet done, I have a few more places I want to add.
It is also a tribute to my ancestors who, on both sides, braved the journey to arrive here well over 100 years ago so that I can call California home.
Additionally, I want to give tribute to the late Huell Howser, who traveled the Golden State to reach out to ordinary people and their everyday stories, to record what he found for PBS. Linked here is a YouTube tribute to Mr. Howser and his work.
