It is my religious work that brings me the most joy. I began painting a few icon-style paintings in the late 1990s, but my religious work really began when our pastor asked me if I could build and paint a six foot San Damino-style crucifix to hang in the church during Lent --- it was his encouragement that really inspired my passion for this ministry. It was with his leadership and liturgical direction that I restored all the old and broken statues in the church as well.
