The first time I saw the work of Georgia O'Keeffe in person, soon after her death in the late 80s, I was hooked. It was her work that inspired me, like so many of us, to look at flowers in a whole new way. Now I fully appreciate their simple lines and soft curves --- up close where nothing is hidden. Over the years I have painted many flowers with Georgia on my mind. Here is a small sample.
