I originally designed, Praying for Peace in 1999, but it wasn't until 2003, in response to the horrible events of 9-11 and the resulting Iraq War, that I painted it. This painting is one of my favorite pieces.
From the four major religions, these women are holding close to one another, lovingly holding the earth, simply wanting to live in peace, to raise their children in love and harmony without want or greed.
