These cut flowers were from the market. They sat in this blue vase on the kitchen counter for a couple of days before they went, vase and all, to Palo Alto to add some cheer to the table at a client meeting. After the meeting they came home and again sat on the counter --- for days they showed no willingness to die.
I decided to paint them so they could live on even longer.
