SAINT GEORGE
Feast Day: April 23rd

George was a born into a Christian family. He grew up and became a soldier and an officer in the Roman Army. Even though it was against the law to be a Christian at the time, he refused to keep quiet about his faith. George was tortured --- and when his refusal to denounce Christ continued, George was beheaded on April 23, 303.

George is depicted on his horse killing the dragon that threatened a young woman and her village in Libya. When George told the village people about Christ, they all converted to Christianity.
